An ability to look beyond the uncertainty of risk and embracing it as a fundamental stage to manifesting a dream has been a core strength for me. My entrepreneurial journey was set on its course by the success we were able to achieve early through Sievert. Perseverance, hard work and focus enabled the rapid growth of that enterprise into a front-runner in its market and segment, which led to the merger/acquisition by BureasVeritas. This success gave wings to an interest in real estate, and that is how Gemini Property Developers was born.
A home is central to human life. Creating living spaces that embody aspirations, conform to the highest standards and enrich experiences, therefore, brought together passion, vision and eminently sensible business opportunity.
Whether in the Energy sector or Real Estate, I believe my natural curiosity in the ever expanding possibilities of new technology has been a strength. Technology drives transformation and riding the crest of transformation creates the greatest opportunities of all.
On being a leader
A leader is nothing without his or her team. Yet, there is no doubt that it is a critical and defining role. A leader sets the tone, harnesses energies and becomes the embodiment of several intangible elements. Naturally, therefore, being a leader – proactively and with eyes wide open – is a responsibility that cannot be shirked.
My implicit faith in God is fundamental to every aspect of my life. In leadership too, I am driven by my inner voice, a commitment to the greatest good of the team I am responsible for and a belief in egalitarianism and fairness. I am of the belief that every relationship should first be allowed to flourish in the light of trust – skepticism is only justified if one has first been let down at least once.
I believe that Doing is what matters, conceptualizing is essential but only the beginning. The greatest role a Leader can aspire to is drawing out the inherent strengths of each individual, into a cohesive, complementary and united whole. I believe this is my vision of leadership.
